If you are using Chrome as your browser, click the &#8220;Employment Application&#8221; link below and then open the downloaded file with Adobe Reader or another pdf editing program.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-file\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rpl.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Application.pdf\" class=\"wp-block-file__button\" download=\"\">Employment Application<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the direction of the Public Relations &amp; Marketing Manager, this person is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the promotion of library services and programs, special events, projects, and outreach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job Functions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist in creating graphics, video and interactive content for all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter,TikTok,etc).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in posting stories, reels, graphics, video and interactive content for all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter,TikTok,etc).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain a PR social media content calendar, ensuring regular and timely posting of events\/program across multiple platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor comments and inquiries on social media and respond in a timely, respectful, accurate, and informative manner, providing excellent customer service across all social media channels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attends library events across the library system to take photos and provide real-time publicity and posting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work collaboratively with branches and other departments to create exciting and fun content.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Play a vital role in supporting various administrative tasks and coordinating key activities within the PR department.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in online digital calendar data entry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the PR team with any additional PR tasks requested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Performs other related work as required or directed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The workweek begins on Monday and ends on Sunday.&nbsp; Saturday and Sunday hours may be included.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rapides Parish Library hereby reserves at its absolute discretion the right to transfer you to any department or branch as needed in the future.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) and ability to read, write, understand carry out written and oral instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Associate or Bachelor&#8217;s Degree from an accredited university or college in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be proficient in various software packages in a Windows environment including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Adobe Photoshop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn and follow library principles, policies and procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand and follow written and oral instructions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use resourcefulness, tact, courtesy, and respect to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, on the phone and in person, with supervisor team, co-workers, and the public<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work well with the public, department heads, supervisor and other staff members<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work as part of a team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pay attention to detail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep detailed, current and accurate records<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of ability to type 35 wpm on computer keyboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to lift, carry, and push minimum 25 \u2013 30 lbs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to repeatedly reach above your head.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, squat, and climb two to three level step ladder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to stand for varied and extended (2 \u00bd to 3 hours) period of time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to sit for varied and extended (2 \u00bd to 3 hours) period of time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to focus and remain attentive to detail while doing repetitive tasks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work flexible, irregular and varied work hours, including Saturdays, nights and weekends<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work alone in a building after hours, entering and exiting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to withstand drastic changes in temperature and inclement weather.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chrome browser DOES NOT save filled pdf forms.
