Outreach Deliveries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In January 2011, the Rapides Parish Library consolidated the Bookmobile service with the Red Carpet Van Service into a new service titled Outreach Deliveries.

Now the Outreach Deliveries Service serves both the rural areas of Rapides Parish previously served through the Bookmobile, and the homebound residents, nursing home residents, senior citizens’ centers, adult day care centers, rehabilitation centers, and retirement centers previously served through the Red Carpet Service. Outreach Deliveries maintains a collection of large print books, and books on tape, as well as regular format items.

Upon request, the Outreach Deliveries Service librarian can even do special storytimes for children. Each month, the librarian puts aside special books for regular customers. For many, it’s like having your own personal librarian.
