The Gunter Branch of the Rapides Parish Library System opened its doors in 1983, and since 1992 has circulated its collection on a computerized system.
Today the library's monthly circulation exceeds 10,000. The Gunter Branch serves customers in Pineville, Deville, Libuse, and Kolin. They also service several schools including Buckeye High School, Hayden R. Lawrence Middle School, Buckeye Elementary, J. I. Barron, Sr. Elementary, and Ruby-Wise Elementary.

Thursdays 10:30 AM - 11:15 AM.
Book Clubs
Ladies' book club - 3rd Thursday of every month, 6:30 PM - 8 PM, bring a covered dish for pot luck
Mostly Classic book club - 4th Tuesday of every month 6:30 PM - 8 PM
Outspoken Folks book club - 4th Tuesday of every month, 10 - 11:30
Crafts and Other
Got a Minute Craft Projects - 2nd Tuesday of every month, all day
Community Jigsaw Puzzle - 3rd Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of every month
