Westside Regional Library

In 2006, Rapides Parish voters approved a one mill property tax increase. In addition to preventing the development of a budget deficit, it enabled the library to secure a line of credit for building projects including a 10,000 square foot regional library to replace to Fuhrer Branch.

The new Westside Regional Library opened its doors Monday April 06, 2009.

Programs

Storytime

Every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. is geared toward older children, ages 3 - 5. During Storytime, we will read stories, sing songs, and watch a short movie.

Toddler Time

Every Thursday at 10:00 a.m. is geared toward younger children, infants through three years. During Toddler Time we will listen to fun stories, sing, do finger plays and color.

For both Storytime and Toddler Time we recommend large groups and Daycare Centers, please call and make a reservation. This helps us in preparing for our activities.
