What is the TAB ?

The Teen Advisory Board, or TAB, is made up of teens ages 13 to 18 years old who are interested in having input in the programs, services, books, and magazines that the Rapides Parish Library offers. Simply put it’s you telling us how to best serve you.

Being a member of TAB allows you to help determine the direction the Library will take in serving the teen community of Rapides Parish. If you feel strongly about what the library should be doing to serve teens, this is your chance to be heard!

Oh yeah, and along the way we do lots of fun and crazy stuff.

How do I join TAB?

It’s free and easy! Just fill out a form telling us about yourself and why you want to join. You’ll become a part of a valuable team! You can pick up a TAB form at the Rapides Parish Main Library in Alexandria, or any of the branches, or you can fill out an application online. You can even show up at a TAB meeting and fill one out then. Call the Assistant Reference Manager Tara Williamson, for more information about joining.

Here is the Membership Form

(Certain browsers display the form but do not allow you to fill it out. If you want to e-mail a completed form, right click the link to save it to a location on your computer. Then, fill it out in Adobe Reader and e-mail the completed form to Tara@rpl.org, or print it and turn it in to your local branch)

When and where does TAB meet?

We generally meet the  the first Saturday of every month from 11:00am-12:30 at the Main Library in Alexandria.
